Here on the main screen you will see recently blocked messages placed in Postini's quarantine. You can click on the subject field to immediately read the message. If you click on the deliver button at the end of the row then this message will be unblocked and downloaded to your mailbox. If you click on "My Settings" at the top you will be able to change your filter settings. Let's click there and go to the next page.

The My Settings screen is where you tweak your filter settings. Click on the first link and you will be able to create a list of specific email addresses whose incoming mail will not be blocked. Conversely the second link will take you to where you can create a list of specific email addresses and block all incoming email from these addresses. Let's click on the third link "Manage Junk Filters" where you can manage the overall general filter.

Below is the Junk Email blocking screening. By default your settings should be set on "strict." This setting will block a lot of spam! But if it isn't blocking enough you can increase it to aggressive or very aggressive. If too many legitimate emails are being blocked then you can tone it down to normal or lenient. You will just have to watch Postini for a while to get a feel where the right balance is. You will also get daily Postini reports to your mailbox listing all the quarantined emails received so can quickly scan through that to make sure no legitimate emails have been blocked. And that's Postini in a nutshell! A very simple user interface and a very effective spam solution!
