Filezilla FTP-SSL Setup
Posted by Frank ., Last modified by Frank . on 25 August 2011 04:38 PM

This will show you how to set up FTP-SSL in Filezilla.  FTPS uses an SSL connection (making it encrypted).

Open Filezilla.

1) Select the File menu, and click on Site Manager

2) Click on New Site

3) Enter the FTP Host, Port, User and Password as normal

4) for encryption, rather than "use plain FTP", the option "Require explicit FTP over TLS" should be selected. When prompted, accept the SSL certificate.

5) Click Ok.

This instruction isnt helping me. Take it from the beginning. I know nothing about how to post a website and my first college course assignment is do.

First, what does FileZilla have to do with anything here. There is no FileZilla on my domain dashboard to open.

I need a step by step process. I have already created a folder in my domain tab with the html file in it. What next?
