I currently have an old html site and a newly created joomla site on one of my website ie. http://www.mysite.com/hp_joomla/
How do I point my visitors to the new joomla site? I've tried going into the CP and selecting web options/redirect and changing it to the above address without any luck. I've also tried changing the directory indexes. I usually get a 404 error or my webshell page comes up. How should the site be configured so that my site directly points to the hp_joomla directory?

Thanks

Jeff

If you wish to have visitors redirected to the Joomla Web site, you may create a redirect from http://www.mysite.com/index.html to http://www.mysite.com/hp_joomla/. Adding the index.html at the end is very important. Another option is to enable the Directory Indexes option, and add hp_joomla/index.php first. Thus, the Joomla Web site would be given precedence over all other default documents.
