Sending Bulk E-mail E-mail
If you intend to send bulk e-mail, be it a newsletter, mailing list, or any correspondence delivered to a list of subscribers, we request that a specific set of guidelines be followed in every message sent. The list of guidelines is as follows:

1) Your e-mails must be compliant with the federal Can Spam Act of 2003, available at http://www.spamlaws.com/federal/can-spam.shtml.

2) Your e-mails must have a simple, easy to use, and functioning unscubscribe mechanism appear at least twice in the e-mail, once at the top, and once at the bottom.

3) The e-mail address you are sending the e-mail to must appear somewhere in the BODY of the e-mail. The easiest way to comply with this is to have the e-mail address as part of the unsubscribe mechanism. 4) Your e-mail must not do anything that tries to hide, forge or misrepresent your e-mail address and your website.

5) Your e-mail must specifically state how your subscribers' e-mail addresses were obtained and must indicate the frequency of the mailing. Such details as the date and time when the e-mail address was obtained along with the IP Address of the subscriber and the web site they visited to sign-up must be made available to Hostica upon request.

6) All subscription based e-mail must have valid, non-electronic, contact information for the sending organization in the text of each e-mail including phone number and a physical mailing address.

If SPAM complaints are received regarding bulk e-mail which has been sent, and after inspection, the messages are found to not be compliant with these guidelines, we will notify the e-mail address on file for your account regarding the complaint received, and request that any further messages adhere to these guidelines. In such an instance, we will require to hear from you within 24 hours, with confirmation that future messages sent will follow these guidelines. If you do not agree within 24 hours to make the required changes, action may be taken against your account. If future SPAM complaints are received and, upon inspection, the messages sent do not adhere to these guidelines, action may be taken against your account.
